Yohji Yamamoto

Flagship Store

at K11 Musea

The Yohji Yamamoto flagship store at K11 Musea in Hong Kong has officially opened. Designed by the Japanese architecture firm OSO, the concept draws inspiration from the intricate layers of concrete and steel beneath the city’s skyscrapers — the foundational structures of underground mechanical rooms. In response, the new Yohji Yamamoto interior translates this monumental quality into beams larger than standard ones, emphasizing height variations and accentuating the vertical axis.

As the material supplier for this project, we provided a beige, rough-textured concrete precast panel, applied to interior walls, irregularly shaped floors, aluminum honeycomb composite ceilings, and stair tread areas. To minimize visible seams, the design team and we developed a special joint-filling solution that allows the gaps to blend seamlessly with the material itself — creating a unified, monochromatic gray concrete aesthetic. This approach reestablishes a natural, tranquil, and comfortable shopping atmosphere amidst the bustling, vibrant city.
