We custom-produced a jute-textile concrete precast panel material. The project went through multiple stages — from early sampling and color adjustments to later mold development and production. Jute fabric itself is soft and pliable, not rigid — so the key challenges were how to prevent slurry leakage during pouring and how to manage the uneven pressure exerted by the concrete. Throughout this process, we gradually came to understand the material language of textiles and learned to fuse it with cement. As a result, we deliberately preserved the fabric’s natural, slightly curled state rather than imposing an industrial flatness — an important insight we gained from this project.
